Last Saturday, the UFL Cup finals was held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The stadium was jampacked. It was incredible! There were no seats left so some people just stood up while watching the live action on the pitch.

The first game was the battle for 3rd place between Kaya FC and Global FC. Of course I was rooting for Global FC! They're my favorite! Hahaha!! I remember, the first ever UFL match that I watched live was also between these teams (February 27, 2011). I was cheering my heart out for Global FC. I would scream whenever the strikers from Kaya FC is near Mr. Goalie of Global. I was praying all the time that the attempts from the other team will be blocked/saved by Pop-ah-pea! He did not let the supporters of Global FC down. He was really good. I mean, really good! I've never seen him play like that before. He was flying and he was an action star! He played really well. I'm so happy for him. I'm super proud!

After that battle for 3rd place where Global FC won, it's time for the main event. The Finals!!
I am really glad I was there to witness one of the great games in UFL history, I guess. The match between Loyola Meralco Sparks FC and Air Force Phoenix. Both teams have their game faces on. Both teams are hungry for the title, UFL Cup champions.  I cannot describe the game using football jargons. All I know is that   I saw the teams were very organized with their plans. The match was very intense! The players from both teams were very good especially the goalkeepers. But I have to say that Tats Mercado of the Air Force Phoenix is a beast. He played really well. I was jumping up and down whenever he saves the ball. Incredible saves. It was unbelievable. That's why they're champions!

I will forever remember that day. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas Futbol. I can't believe I'm a football fan now. I don't even know how to play the sport. All I know is I enjoy watching with my friends and even alone at home.

My first attempt, FAIL! Only the hand of Becks and his bottled water.

My 2nd attempt. Pwede na! At least, you can recognize it's Becks!
Surreal! I can't believe I just witnessed one exciting and world class football game! The feeling is amazing! Seeing David Beckham in person was a dream of mine but now, I can erase it from my list. I saw him!! He was just a meter away from us when he passed by. He passed by us, 4 times BTW. The security is very tight so we didn't have the chance to take pictures with him but I tried my best to take photos of him.

I am really happy because I am part of a history. It's not everyday that our national team gets to play against a top football club in the U.S. I am proud to say that I was there at the Rizal Memorial Stadium to witness the game live in action.

It was my first time also to see my crush, Joshua Beloya, in person. I know that he was far from us but when I got a glimpse of him, kinilig talaga ako! He really looks good! I'm glad Ebong approached him and asked him to go back and say hello to us, Kaholeros! :)

Highlights of my December 3: Seeing David Beckham not just from the bleachers, seeing #babyboy JoshB for the first time and the Towel from Pop-ah-pea! Yay!

Thank You Lord for these blessings! It will be a merry Christmas for me. Early Xmas gift from the birthday boy, Jesus! #blessings

I will treasure this experience for the rest of my life!

When I heard that David Beckham's team will be coming over to play a friendly match against the Azkals, I could not explain what I felt. I was very excited! Gosh, David Beckham yun oh! But in my head, I was thinking of the ticket price already (since I'm jobless, I don't have funds). I even said no to the Kaholeros' survey to finalize the list of ticket reservations because I really don't want to ask money from my parents and sister. The previous matches that I watched were funded by them already so I didn't have the guts to ask them money for my ticket especially when the cheapest ticket price is 2k!

I really wanted to watch the game live so when I heard that tickets will be raffled during UFL games, I tried my luck and went to 2 UFL games. When the halftime came, we were silently praying that our tickets be picked. But, I guess that was an unlucky day for me. 1 more week til the game so I was losing hope just a little bit. I still believed in my heart that I will be able to watch!

Luckily, I have supportive family and relatives! When they heard of our (my cousin and I) "desperation" in wanting to have those tickets on our hands, they helped us. Fortunately, there's already 35% discount on ticket prices. From of P2,060 to P1,339. Big discount but still a bit pricey for a grade 6 student and a jobless nurse! My cousins, mother and sister funded our tickets! Amazing!!! Thank You Lord!

I went to the ticketworld website immediately then I learned that tickets can already be bought online so I told my cousin and we immediately bought tickets online due to our excitement. The next day, we went to G5 NBS to claim our tickets. Because we were so excited the other night, we missed the guidelines in claiming the tickets if you are not the owner of the credit card. Hassle!! We had to go home. We ended up cancelling the purchase of ticket because the owner could not send his authorization letter. We, then, immediately went to Powerplant to claim our tickets. Finally, without any problems, we just waited for about 10 minutes, and the tickets were on our hands! What a wonderful feeling!

In 19 hours, it's kick off time! I can't believe I will be able to witness the Dream Cup 2011 live! I am lucky to have supportive family members!

David Beckham, I am very excited to see you! Oh, and you too, Joshua Beloya #babyboy :)

to be continued....
