I'm glad to be part of the OR family. At first I'm very hesitant to enter the OR because when I was a student, I never liked having duties in the operating room. I was too afraid. When I started having my duty in SRBH, I never entertained that I'll be assigned in OR/DR/NTR department. When they informed me, I refused at first. But they said that we are needed, I could not do anything about it. I had to accept it.

During my first month there, almost every duty day, we have cases. Every duty day, toxic! What's good about it is that I learned a lot of things. Sometimes I really feel tired and haggard but I just think positive always and never complained. Good thing my colleagues are all willing to share their knowledge and experience with us. I enjoy the company of my senior nurses. At first, I was really shy because they've known each other for years before us, new OJTs entered the OR. But they welcomed us. :) As time went by, I was able to joke around with them and laugh hard with them. I always enjoy having midnight snacks because I was not able to do that when I was in the ward. I feel happy when we are complete because we just share stories, banters and jokes and laugh all the time. We are like a family, really. Sometimes we go out and eat/ watch movies/ road trip. We tease each other and make love teams but we all know that we're just joking around and it's nothing serious. We are just like brothers and sisters.

I am thankful that I found a new family. :)
