January 13, 2013. I saw a man holding a gun... And it was pointed at me. Horrifying! Scary! Super. It was just an ordinary day for me. Rest day. I was about to watch football with some friends. Before heading out, I just did the usual things that I do. I took a bath, changed my clothes and put some powder on my face. I left the house. It's drizzling so I took out my umbrella. I walked and waited for a jeepney. The first jeepney that stopped in front of me was almost full. So I waited for another one. The second jeepney that stopped in front of me, the "trapal" was covering the jeepney windows. I didn't see if there are many passengers. When I rode the jeepney, there was just 1 passenger, a man sitting near the door (right side). I was sitting near him, he was on my left. I paid the fare. A few minutes later, my felt my phone vibrated. I was just about to look inside my bag, I felt something on my left arm. Akala ko kakilala ko yung lalaki at kinalabit ako. I looked and I saw he was holding a gun and it was pointed at me. I remember him say, "Bag lang, kundi ipuputok ko to. Manong ideretso mo lang, wag kang hihinto" The moment I saw the gun, I cried so hard. I just gave my bag to him. He put the whole bag inside his dirty white backpack then he went down. I felt so helpless. The driver did not say a thing. He just looked. :( I was still crying when I got off the jeepney. Luckily, a church was in front of me. I just went inside. The mass has just ended so there are many people. I just remembered saying a short prayer then I went out. Because I have no money left inside my pocket, I decided to walk but I was crying so I decided to ride a tricycle. The first tricycle I saw has the "The Feast" signage. The Feast Logo! What a coincidence! So I got home and my mom paid the tricycle fare. I cried and cried and told the people in our house what happened.
When I saw the gun, I did not hesitate to give the man what he wanted. He wanted the bag? Go! All yours. It just makes me sad that I lost both phones, my coin purse and the ouchless brush. I am still lucky, I did not get hurt. I am lucky that I did not put my IDs and wallet inside that bag. I did not bring anything so important.
Nakakahinayang lang yung pictures sa phone. Sayang yung purse kasi pasalubong ni mommy yun from Harrod's. May keychain din yun na Olympics 2012 memorabilia. Hay!
Ang natira lang sa dala ko ay yung payong ko na ang tatak ay "Paolo". Oh diba, meant to be?
